As we open ourselves up to others we allow ourselves to become vulnerable. As we move through life we toughen up and close down our vulnerability to shield ourselves from hurt and pain. But in doing so we also become shielded from love, intimacy and connection. Opening the door can be scary and uncomfortable. We can feel naked and exposed. But in order to form meaningful connection we have to reveal who we are. Exposing the parts of us we keep protected. As she pulls back the curtain, she reveals her destructive side, opens her heart and let’s her inner child come out to play.
