Rich with symbolism ‘Inside Out’ depicts the artist’s own cage of comfort. A jail wherein she feels at home, but constantly under threat; an uncomfortable situation, somewhere she’s been all her life. There is space in the bars for her to leave, but she is reticent for change. The raven, a symbol of light and dark is a totem urging her to embrace the emotion and become free.
