‘When the Wolves Come’ explores a stage of life filled with confusion and anxiety. Crossing over from childhood into teenage years, the little girl is caught in a mire between worlds, where little is explained and nightmares are constant. Tender signs of childhood litter the artwork, but it’s the many masks, visitors of her dreams and and the rampant nature of the wolf that gives the work an ominous feel.
